We have a winner in our blog challenge addressing the issue of “Bad Bosses” and what to do about it.  The winner is Erik in Florida whose response is as follows:

“I believe that companies should spend more time to understand their employees/managers emotional intelligence. In my experience, bad managers were usually created because they were insecure in themselves and viewed me as a threat, or wanted to be the smartest person in the room and unwilling to ask for help when they were jumping into a project they didn't truly understand. I think emotional intelligence is extremely important to make sure a leader’s psychology doesn't get in their own way.”
